    2013 Tacoma TSS
Hey all, new user here. I have a 2013 tacoma TSS that I have had for about 1 year now and am beginning to look into moding it. It is my every day vehicle so I commute about 20 miles to work and have taken it on a few road trips already with some in the future. One of the first things that I would like to do is lift it. I am doing this mainly for cosmetic reasons as I have not done much offroading yet and as off now I like the look of a 2.5-3" lift. Offroading is something that I would like to get more into this year but I do not plan by any means to become an avid crawler, just the occasional trip. I have done some research into lifting and am not fully understanding if there is an optimal way to lift the tacoma or which method would best meet my needs. Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
Usually anything above 2.5" will need UCAs. I say usually because some don't need them and others do. But many just buy them in anticipation that they do need it.

My commute and usage is similar to yours. I chose Icon coilovers and rears with Icon AAL. I have no regrets, couldn't be happier.

First off, welcome to the Forum!

    What is your budget?

If you can afford it, I would go with a set of Coilovers.

If not, a set of Bilstein 5100's and OME springs up front and AAL and Bilstein 5160's in the rear. This is a very popular and more budget friendly option.

Like someone mentioned above, if you do go over 2.5", Upper control arm is recommended.

If you go with the Coilover route, I can definitely get you taken care of!

    Let me know!

    Thanks

    JT

Just did mine a couple weeks ago. As folks mentioned it all depends on your budget or what you can spend, etc. mine escalated fast and I eventually settled on King 2.5 ext and Dakar setup with UCA. You could get away with an OME setup, route or a bilstien route. I was in the same state as you. All the spots people recommend are great and will help you out whichever way you go.IMG_5127.jpg
