umm...if you go back and read my post i never said it was "stupid", i just said i wouldnt do it myself if i owned one. and by lowering it, i dont mean slamming it to the ground, maybe an inch or two. the old 2rz trucks dont have much use anyways for being a truck. the only thing i would make use out of it for is hauling small loads, other than that i would use it for gas mileage.

so you're telling me if you owned a x runner, you would lift it instead of maybe lowering it an inch or two? there's just some 2wd trucks you would just waste your time putting a lift kit on it. now prerunners would look great with a lift. i wanted a pre-runner to begin with just b/c i never use the 4wd on my truck, but still have the look of it, but there's nothing wrong with dropping a sportier kind of truck (aka x-runner)

My old 82 was lowered with blocks & twisted down on the torsion bars to lower it. Still hauled the same amount of shit without problem at all & just because it's lowered doesn't mean you've removed your nuts anymore than lifting it gives you any.

some of this, a little of that
Are you really this f'ing stupid?

There is nothing wrong with lifting or lowering ANY truck as long as it suits your needs. Do what you want to your own rig don't worry about what someone does to thier own rig.

I have not lifted or lowered mine, does it make it any less of a truck? Are you also gonna say because it is a SR5 and not a TRD that it is any less of a truck?

I love my prerunner and i can do almost anything with my rear locked and my tires at 7psi. but mine is only 2 in lift in the front so it doesn't fit in ur post. but i know what u mean when people lift there truck for looks not function. there is a tacoma i see around my house that is a black 4door long bed with a 6 in lift and 35 inch tires on 24" rims it is a discrace to tacomas in my opion.

Not dumb at all to lift 2wd i have a 5 lug im about to readylift so i can fit larger tires. Not the first 2wd ive lifted either. It helps ground clearance and in the case of my 2wd mini it just needs to have a better stance.

well, i mean all i said was IMO, i wouldnt lift a 2WD, i mean i agree that there's nothing wrong with it, i just wouldnt do it myself. id lower it like 2 inches max to give it a more agressive stance. i wouldnt slam it either, i dont like that look.

we use them a lot for mud in the south. cv axles dont hold up when you have a lifted rig.
