What's the purpose of those box things? Do they bolt in there or do I actually have to CUT the bastards out?

    Thanks!

Ok, mine are 215-70-15's for tire size. 15 inch rims. So... do you think my truck would be lifted up to the Tacoma V6 height with 18's and no lift kit?

I would have to say no, with 18 inch rims, and a tire size like mine or the 255/55 you will get between .5-.8 inch of lift.

correct, it gives the apearance of being lifted with the larger rims, but the sidewall of the tire is smaller

Hey everyone. Just got home from campus. busy, busy, busy. Yeah, I removed the black piece behind the wheel a few months. I was thinking of putting some bigger tires on, 30x9.5R15. I was going to get the RockCrawlers from 4wheelparts. But i decided to wear out the BFGoodrich I currently have on my Taco.

Not going to happen. The Taco is a "fly by wire" throttle that connects to the computer which then controls the engine. You do not have a direct connection to the throttle body that lets the vibration from the engine be felt through the foot.

    THANKS!
Because you are able to fit that big of a tire on stock height, I may do a similiar setup.
I just needed some specs on what wheels I will need.

Nothing special at the moment just a K&N air filter.
Hate to bring up a dying thread again but I can't find any Soft 8's with 4.5" of back spacing in either an 8" or 7" wide rim any direction you could point me to correct wheel specs for Cragar's soft 8 series in a 15x7 or 15x8 would be great .
    Info needed:
    -Backspacing
    -Offset
-Caliper clearence ( do they fit with no mods)
    -Rim dimensions
    -was a rimspacer used

Info would be appreciated PM me if you can.
