What size tires are you running? How much lift did you get in the front and back? Thanks.

I did a lot of research on this lift. In fact, its my second 6 foot bed tacmoa. I lifted the 2016 6' bed tacoma with the 5100s. Same wheels and tires. I was going to go with larger tires on this 2022 Tacoma but after doing a lot of reading the larger than 265 is a significant effect on fuel economy. Heavier tires and more tread on the road reduces fuel economy significantly. The 265 70 R17 look proper, no rubbing and no mods required.

The Bilstien shock provides a 2.5" lift in the front when moving the adjustable clip to the highest position. The rear Bilstein shocks add no lift. Adding the ICON AAL to the rear added a 1.5" to the rear and keeps the factory rake, and makes it look better.

This was my 2016, 6 foot bed Tacoma, with Bilstein 5100. No AAL. Same wheels and tires. I had used this Tacoma World forum to research how to lift the truck and all the choices. For road quality, the Bilstein was highly recommended. High quality and great price. Tires 265 70 R17. I used KO2. then BFG Duratrack on the second set. Went back to the KO2 on the 2022 with whitewalls out.

2.5 inch lift on my longbed, no issues aside from needle bearings, but all lifted tacomas have that as a issue.

A basic 2" lift using Bilstein 5100/OME 887 front, set on 1 (the springs do the lifting), and Bilstein 5100 and a Deaver add-a-leaf in the back.
Tires are 265/70/17, which gives the best compromise of larger tire and descent mpg(IMHO).
So in total, this combination gives the truck a 3" effective lift.

My reason for keeping it at this height was to minimize the "side effect" work that would need to be done. I did install the ECGS bushing because i got the vibration, but i didn't need to cut or bend anything for the tires, or change the UCA, or add shims or modify other stuff due to drive shaft angles, etc.

I also put the pro grill on to lower the TSS back to close to the stock height.

I have a 21 Dclb with what essentially is the TRD lift kit, except I went directly with Bilstein 5100’s for a 2/1 lift level.

Zero issues with TSS , or anything for that matter. Ive had it for 13 mos now and still no problems at all. Added Heritage grille as well with aftermarket garnish and everything is smooth sailing. I don’t know why that kit isn’t listed for DCLB, but 5100’s are . They are the same shock.

Get a bilstein kit from Headstrong Off-road. OME 888 coils, 5100s all around, AAL and total chaos UCAs. I’m able to run 295s on 0 offset wheel with CMC done and some trimming

I love the DCLBs and this one my friend is a prime example of why

I went with RC struts with the upgraded shocks, 3" front, 2" rear and 285/70-17....no rubbing and no cutting. Zero offset and sets the edge of the tire just outside the fender. Screenshot_20221004-201007_Gallery.jpg

Just "graduated" from my 2013 Pre Runner SR5 with RWD to a 2019 MBM TRD OR DCLB. Am still getting used to the added length of this bad mama jama, but excited to utilize the LB for hauling and eventually camping if I get a cap. Anyway, I don't know much about the components I need for lifting, but this thread has my attention. Of course it looks great on the DCLBs to get them up a bit higher, but I'm also in CO and the roads to our home are anywhere from a 10-15% grade. Taking notes as I decide what to get and where to go to lift this bad boy and make it a worthy adversary for its first winter in the mountains...
