Thought I would add on to this thread instead of starting a new one as this is my exact truck and I have pretty much the same situation. After moving up to 17" wheels (265/70/17) I'm thinking I would like just a tiny bit of lift. Like 1.5" tops.

I've settled on Bilstein 5100s on all four corners, but I'm really suffering from analysis paralysis on the rear springs. My topper is about 200 pounds and I don't cary much cargo on a daily basis, but do on occasion fully load the bed with camping gear etc. when I'm out with my son's scout troop.

I'm not opposed to a new leaf pack (Icon RTX setting 2 seems to be ideal?) but I also like the simplicity and cost savings of an add-a-leaf. In that camp, can't really decide between the Deaver single spring or the Icon kit. (or Headstrong's progressive AAL?). Maybe add some sumo springs just to cover me on those occasions when I'm fully loaded??? Currently sitting almost level - just under a 1/2" rake plus the usual Taco lean (more pronounced when I measured today w a full tank of gas).

    Opinions?

You plan on lifting front as well? Icon RXT leaf pack is great.

yes - plan was 5100s in the front set to about 1.5 inches or so. Was told by a vendor that would need to be careful as 5100s in the rear do not play well with too much lift, so they suggest the extended 5100 struts for that - or play it safe with not too much lift. Still not sure what "not too much lift is". Was also told 5160s in the rear are another option as they can handle more lift than the 5100.

Sounds good. With the front lifted at 1.50” the RXT leaf pack on option 2 in the rear would be perfect IMO. I’m running 6112’s / 5160’s and love my set up paired with icon RXT leaf pack on option 3 for me.

UPDATE: I got talked into spending way more money LOL. I think I made the right choice. Ended up getting Bilstein 6112 in front (600# coils, clip setting 7+9) and 5160s in the back with the Icon RXT option 2. Had the install done yesterday and getting alignment done tomorrow. So far rides great. Expect the rear to settle out a little. I did not want a ton of lift. This ended up being maybe a little more than I expected but I'm happy with it. Haven't had a chance to measure yet. I have a fair amount of rake - did not want to be front high when fully loaded w gear.

Height looks good. Your shell looks like it is mounted 1/4" farther back on the bed than my Leer of similar shape. Is your rear door seal lining up with the tailgate edge, just curious. I'm always watching cap alignment by habit.

Good catch! Yes right after this picture was taken I went back to the truck cap installer and had it re-set. the bolts were getting loose and it started to slide. Would have done it myself but had one other thing I needed them to fix with one of the windoor struts. I have lock washers on it now and will be keeping a closer eye on it!
