My recommendation is save up a bit more and get a kit like this from headstrong
    https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p402/Coil/Bilstein_5100_Kit_w/_Dakars_(HS16BK-1-Dakar).html
Honestly you don’t want to throw blocks and spacers on your new truck. Do it the right way and things last longer. I would call or email Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and she will get you set up with a proper kit. Contact @hacklerjason for pricing on installs and can mount chop to fit the 285s.

Me personally I went all out the first time. Buy once, cry once for me. My whole set up with installation was around 4100 for the hardware(got a great deal from headstrong) and another 750 for install and cmc I’m a big fan of doing it right the first time.

That will be about for everything including install. It will be a few hundred more if you go above 2.5” in lift cause then you will need UCA’s to keep the truck in proper alignment

    You're in Hawaii?

Then you gotta do a drop bracket lift.

With that set up, he still wont fit 285s without chopping the cab mount.

Yup already mentioned. And we are trying to curb those dB lifts here through education. Lol

Leveling kits... (meaning lifting with leveling spacers) can give a rough ride. Also lifting with Bilstein 5100 by moving the clip up and pre-loading the springs will give a rough ride.

You want to lift the front by using lifting coil springs. Thats the best way to get height without sacrificing too much ride quality.

It's all a matter of personal opinion.

I lifted this truck for my buddy... probably 4500 bucks in the Kings, leafs, Upper Control Arms etc.

Honestly if you’re doing it for looks and the occasional keana point run it’s not. Especially with the laws here and the prices for parts. A good set of AT tires you’ll be fine. If I wasn’t moving to the mainland I wouldn’t have lifted my truck and keep the stock suspension. I’ve done keana many times on a stock suspension and you’ll be fine.
