I have a 2018 TRD Sport 4x4 access cab, and this week i'll be installing:
--Fox 2.5 extended length coilovers w/ resi & DSC
--Fox 2.0 rear shocks w/ resi & DSC
    --SPC Adjustable UCAs
    --Dakar leaf pack (medium duty)

The dakars will be lifting the rear about an incremental 2''. My goal is to mirror this in the front in order to keep the existing rake without making the rake significantly worse. This would mean setting the extended coilovers to 3'' lift (2'' incremental above stock). However, i'm worried that setting it to 3'' will push it into rough ride territory, thus i'll probably shoot for around 2.5'' (1.5'' incremental).

I do not yet know how to set the pre-load on the front coilovers to achieve this. Almost all the research i've done into other people's lifting experiences and results have been specific to the DCSB since that's the truck that the vast majority of folks have. The forum seems to be pretty light on the topic of access cab vs DCSB lifting, please point me towards something if you know of anything.

My question: does anyone have any insight into the differences between lifting access cabs vs DCSB? For example, how much more lift should I expect all else constant in my access cab? Where should I set the pre-load in order to achieve 2.5'' to 3'' of lift in the front?

Thread's a little old now but how were your results? The 3rd Gen DCSB weighs between 205 and 260 lbs more than an 3rd Gen AC. Per this spec sheet it looks like about 100 lbs of that is engine weight so I'd guess another 100 - 150 is in sheetmetal and accessories. 3rd Gen coils are 700 lb/in I think? Anyways I'd suspect you would not see more than 1/2" difference.

I didn't take pre vs post measurement unfortunately (i forgot). Installing the coilovers in the front worked as expected and was pretty in-line with the spec sheet, it said i'd get around 2" and that's how they looked with minimal preload. I ended up pre-loading up to 2.5" or so. Maybe slightly more. The rear was a bit more striking. The medium duty Dakar leaf pack said to expect around 2" of lift in the rear, however it initially came out to closer to 3".

When all is said and done and things settle a bit i'd imagine that i'll have gotten a hair more lift than a DCSB but it's not super material I don't believe.
