I'm trying to make a decision on my first truck mod... I'd like to lift it up 2-3" and level it a bit. I occasionally tow a 4000lb camper and a small boat but for the most part this truck is my daily driver. The closest thing to off-roading I do is parking on the grass at kids soccer games! I'm trying to decide between the 5100's with the eibachs or the OME kit. I also really don't want to get into UCA's either...

I intend to do the back as well but I have the 4 leaf pack already and want to only go up 1.5".

Let me know what you all think...

both are good choices. i have a mix of 5100's and OME 884 coils if you dont plan on adding a plate bumper or anything the 884s are good and i love my lift. sits level at 3"

Why lift it then? OME is a foolproof choice.

If you want to avoid having to get UCA's, I'd stick to 2" of lift. I second the OME kit with 884 coils and a replacement leaf pack that will stand up to towing. Wheeler's Off Road makes a 2" leaf pack or you can get the Dakar leaf pack with the OME kit and remove one of the leafs.

Lift is strictly for looks, I got the dclb which looks killer lifted but I think it looks disproportionate stock. What lift height approx does the two kits giver? I though they were both around 2.5"? I'm looking at the OME 885 coils for the double cab

OME 885 coils will lift you around 2.5", 884's will keep you around 2". At 2.5", it's a toss up as to whether or not you'll need new UCA's to make it handle well on the highway. Since you mentioned this is only for looks and didn't want the expense of UCA's, I'd stick with the lower lift.

Another great option for the rear would be the Wheeler's or Icon 3-leaf AAL's. They ride nice and support weight pretty well with the overload left in place.
