Light bar Lighting

Hey all,
just put a light bar on my truck yesterday but havent decided on what lights to put on, there is room for three 6 inch lamps any ideas on kits/ brands to use when it comes to lighting?

saw them in walmart auto clearance area for $55 a set.

 

I have PIAA's that are yellow mounted on mine and love them for offloading at night. When I put them on I took my dog camping when he was a pup he ran away in the middle of the night turned on the yellow PIAA's and was able to find him chillin in a field really quick.

 

i just want to get halogen lights and would prefer to find a light that comes in a kit and then i can just buy a extra lamp to wire in with it

 

The aforementioned 6" KC Hilites come in a 2 light kit with wiring and covers and are about $120-$150 on ebay. You'll be able to get a single too to go with it.

Hella 500 or 500ff is another option. Only 5" diameter though but the price is right at about $50 on ebay. Again, singles are available. The 500 has a checkered lens on it like older car headlights, the 500ff has a clear lens and a like the 2nd gen Tacoma headlights and a different reflector.

As far as output those lights aren't top of the line but then neither is the price. You can get some more output with a higher wattage bulb or you can go to HID down the road. For myself I want to build a light bar with 4 hella 500FFs, then maybe do HID conversions on them. I like the price and the slim depth on those lights. I have 4" x 7" elliptical hella driving lights on another vehicle with 100W bulbs and I'm really happy with their output. They throw the light way down the road, great for night highway driving as long as the traffic is light of course.
