I wanted to fab up a light bar. So a guy over at CT was kind enough to cut some brackets for me on his water jet.

The brackets weren't exactly what I wanted, so I still need to cut them to a different configuration.

Here are the brackets. I had a chance to modify them to what I wanted. went to HomeDepot to get a piece of 40" black pipe for the main bar.

    After:

Here's the bar, I got a 48" piece of black pipe from HomeDepot.

Cut it to 40" and bent the ends.

I turned down bar ends on the lathe out of stainless steel:

This gives you an idea of how much space there is between the bumper and the bar. Should be enough for some 8" lights.

Update on my slow project I had a chance to put it all together today. I ordered the Hella 500 lights also from Ebay.

But this is what I have so far:

This is how I made my brackets:

I cut it out of a big C-channel Aluminum stock, and I needed to mill some recesses to accommodate the flange on the bumper nuts.

    finished product:

Very nice set up. Now get back out there and put some wire loom over them exposed wires to get that finished look. You did a lot of work to leave that unfinished. Great job!

That's a nice looking light bar. Very clean fabrication. The mounting brackets look nice; got to love CNC machining/cutting.
