By sacramento. 4 hours from some wheeling around mt. Shasta in the middle of nowhere, or two hours from Ebetts Pass where you wont see anyone if you know what you're doing. Supplemental light is essential!!!

Light bars have a purpose, and when used correctly are awesome.

Now the dickheads in my area with JKs driving on the street with them on everywhere should be tarred and feathered, and then forced listen to Britney Spears songs for 8 hours straight.

Good years are pretty awesome. This was a couple years ago and taken with my cellphone. My friends with real cameras get some great pictures.

The 50" I once had on the FJ was absolutely pointless. Way too much light for any circumstance.

    However, I just did this:

Good examples. So far I've only 3 lights 2 A pillar rigids and a hood scoop light. Provides good lighting, I haven't used them offrosdo at night yet.. still debating if I need a prinsu roof rack with a light bar or not

The 20" LED bar I have facing back is the best $70 I ever spent. Theres always that asshole with their bright on at night. An LED bar in their face makes em turn em off real quick.

    I do.

But yeah, in STL, they are definitely a bro-dozer accessory.

Utah and Nevada desert is basically the surface of the moon on a dark night. But the stars are AMAZING once your eyes adjust!

I want a light bar for driving in rural areas at night. The stock headlights on these trucks suck and the high beams are even worse.
Also gor getting into hunting spots.
However always have to be careful about use on roads. They will blind people so need to turn them off as soon as you see them.
Light bars are perfectly legal in my state they just MUST be aimed at the road properly and they cannot be used in addition to your headlights. You are allowed only so many operating lights at one time.

You do not. This was my mistake. Having a bar right above the windshield sucks. Literally illuminates the air and you end up having to see though a sort of haze the whole time.. Plus up high near your forehead, light hits signs and does what?...comes right back in your face.

    I sure looked cool though!

If you cause a wreck from this you will be held liable. Rear facing lights should only be able to activate in the park or neutral and e-brake on.
