Ok. So i have been itching to get my truck lifted and decked out, but i wanna do it with good parts and i wanna do it right. Well if you are on a budget like me and you know what you want craigslist can be awesome.

After keeping and eye out for a number of things, i came across a set of light racing upper control arms for 200 bucks. They had some surface rust and the ball joints were questionable. So i snatched them up and quickly found a set of upgraded ball joints with the grease fittings and everything for 65 bucks. Then i grabbed a beer and turned on some misic and started sanding. Before long i had them down to metal begging for some fresh new satin black paint. After sanding them i cleaned them real good with rubbing alcohol. Then i hung them up and went to town.

I am so amazed at how well they turned out. They literally look like they are brand new out of the box.

    So in total

    $200 for the uca's
$65 for the new upgraded ball joints
$10 for the VHT epoxy paint

$275 for essentially brand new uca's and it was a super fun project.

Just wouldn't want you to have to damage all that nice paint work to put in all new bushings
