    Too few to list.
That might be what you're feeling then. Bigger, wider tires have a tendency to follow the road more. Tires are heavier so acceleration and braking is affected as well. 2.7 Caster setting is 2.7 regardless of which UCA's you're using.

I agree that the caster is 2.7. I just wonder how the change in the geometry affects handling when caster is set at A instead of D (with the light racing uppers.)
Moving the upper to A from D (or vice versa) will move the position of the upper ball joint, so the lower has to be adjusted to match. So the center of the tire is moved relative to the adjustment of the upper control arm.
I can get 2.7 caster with the upper set at A or D. But the tire position is changed relative to everything else. Just wondering if setting caster at 2.7 at A will be any better that setting caster with the upper set at D.
Most likely it will feel pretty much the same?

I have read that thread, many times. It explains how and why you should set the uppers to achieve a desired alignment spec.
What I could not find, is what affect setting the uppers as I described would have on handling.

Difference in handling with Upper set at D as opposed to set at A. Both with 2.7 caster.

I really don't think there will be a difference in setting to either A or D if you are getting 2.7 caster on each one. If you can get 2.7 on D setting then you would not need to set to A. It just slightly changes the angles on the UCA so you can adjust for the desired caster. 2.7 on A will be the same on D.

The location of the wheel in the wheel well will be different , no ?

Yes, that is why I am asking how it affects the handling. The caster will be at 2.7 regardless of the upper control arm setting. But the position of the wheel will be different between using A or D.

I don't think it will effect the handling because the caster would be the same but it would make a difference for clearance of larger tires

are the UCAs only supposed to have washers on the outside (2 washers per bolt) or the outside and inside (4 washers per bolt)?
