    Ok, so I'm in the garage and got the UCA out and now I'm trying to get the original ball joint out, what is the trick? I removed the slip ring and have hit the top side trying to break it free so it will drop out but no luck. Any ideas?

    Work in progress, but mods so far; OTT 7.0 tune, 255/85/16 Falken WildPeak M/Ts
    some people have to use a separator or pitman arm puller. especially if it is an older truck. for mine, i just put the castle nut on (to protect the threads) and "encouraged" it to loosen up with a hammer.

    broken mods
    if you are tyrying to seperate the ball joint from the spindle all you have to do is put the nut half on and HIT the side of the spindle with a lump hammer a few hits will knock it loose
    then remove the castle nut and hang the spindle with a bunjie

    This is exactly what I did, except it took a little bit more coercing to remove.
