So yesterday I installed Icons RXT leaf pack with option 3 because the oem leaf pack was worn out. First time installing a leaf pack but I installed everything correct with the right torque specs. While driving, I noticed light vibration in the peddle and steering wheel when braking between the speeds of 30-10mph. Driving normal the truck is fine. It’s just when I’m braking between 30-10mph. From what I found online that makes the most sense, it could be the different driveshaft angle causing vibrations. Can anyone that’s experienced this chime in? I’ve attached a before and after photo. Thanks!

You probably need to drop (lower) your driveshaft carrier bearing a bit (maybe ½" or so). There's also small possibility you may need to adjust your pinion angle too, but try the CB drop first, since it's easier to do.

Keep in mind the vibration should also go away (or be reduced) with some weight in the bed (lowering the stance some).

Is there a how to on this CB drop?

I'm having what sounds like the same issue. Very slight vibration when slowing down not really at 30 but I'd say from 20 and below. I honestly don't remember when this happened but it for sure started after I installed a Roadacitve suspension.

    Its driving me nuts.

    *edit
nevermind I see it on youtube I'm going to give it a shot.

before doing anything check pinion angle and correct if needed.

One thing for sure you need to lift the front to level out your truck. I’m not saying that will resolve your issue but it will help the looks of it.

Definitely check the pinion angle and shim the leafs if needed. Putting a 1/2" spacer on the carrier bearing wont hurt anything either.

Wouldn’t I want rake if I’m going to have payload in the back? I read online that rake is needed for towing or hauling heavy. & it’s better for stability driving.

If you are going to be continually hauling a load that levels the truck you may be okay but when no load you will be nose diving if you get on the brakes hard. That’s why generally if not lifting a truck you install a leveling kit to get the front up.

    Do the Carrier Bearing Drop,

Keeping about 1" of rake is not a bad idea.

keep the rear at about 24" center of hub on the wheel to the fender, if its over then throw some weight in the back to bring it to about 24" and see if it goes away.

4H does it go away? to make sure the change hasn't put a different strain on the driver side needle bearing.

Rotors could be at the beginning stages of being warped, when that happens it will vibrate more while braking and going down a steep incline, Mine did that only coming down a mountain pass. Having the back taller might be putting a similar strain on it.
