I was using my roof rack light bar to beam some light onto a field last night to play fetch with my dogs. I had the truck ignition off, but all lights were working. After running my white LED lights for about 3-4 minutes, it just shut-off mid-stream.. I went over and checked all of my other after-market lights (rear lights, left and right side lights, and amber roof rack lights) and they all still worked. Just the main beam.

After dinner, I went outside and hooked my power pack directly to the cable, nada... All other lights worked in same manner. I'm hoping it's something with the wiring directly to the light, as the amber portion of the same light bar still works fine. I'm hoping it's not the light itself. Which would suck, because I've had it turned on for all of about 10 minutes since installing it in September..

Where should I start my investigation? Wiring for that light?

Disconnect the light, run jumper cables straight from the battery, see if the light works. Then go from there, I dunno.

Would hooking it to the battery net a different result than using a portable power supply?
