    Has anyone installed lighting in a 3rd gen cupholders? I installed lighting in my 2008 using amber 12v LED’s. These lights were perfect, not too bright, but I can’t find them in white. I want to use white to match the footwell and wireless charger lighting. I would be interested I anyone who has done this mod and what lights they used.

    Got my console lights today. Now I need to figure out how to make them work in the cup holders.i know I will be drilling holes to mount them, what I need help in is the wiring. I know it was mentioned that the Koito pigtails would fit but they are pricey. I will need at least 4. I’m wondering if anyone who is good with electrical wiring would have any suggestions for another type of connectors.

    I read the link, but I was hoping for a connector already setup with wires. If I understand the link, I would buy the connector, then the pins and wire and put everything together. If I’m wrong let me know. Thanks, I appreciate your help. You seem to be an expert on wiring, wish you lived next door. I will be down your way around the end of January.

    Finally got my cupholder lights installed. I went with 81080-12100. I installed one in each cupholder in the center console and one in the rear cupholder. I ordered the connectors from Retofit that was recommended. They worked out perfect for me. While I had everything apart I wired in a set of lights in the rear console vents. The rear lights serve no purpose, just adds a nice accent touch. The cupholder lights seem brighter than the light for the wireless charger. Don't know why. I tested the lights with and without the diffuser and there seemed to be no difference in brightness. That does not seem to make sense, but I could see no difference. I travel a lot so I'm driving late at night or early morning, so the cupholder lights eliminates my fumbling around to place my coffee cup.
