I am looking for some advice for a 40" light bar. It'll go on a Prinsu rack.

I am interested in the Baja Designs S8 vs. the Rigid SR vs. the Rigid SR Midnight Edition.

I have BD ditch lights and a BD light bar in my bumper already that I am very happy with so I planned to go with BD on the Prinsu as well, but as luck would have it the BD light bar will stick up just a little higher than the Prinsu. The Rigid is a little smaller and will be a little below the rack, so that is what has me thinking about going that route.

Any opinions are appreciated. I don't know much about the 'midnight edition' SR light, but I think it might look nice up there, but I am not sure if there are any drawbacks.

    Thanks for any advice!

I have the Rigid midnight SR-Q's. They are bright AF and quality is top notch.

Given how many lights you already have, I think you'll be just fine with the light output. And given their reputation, the Rigid quality will not disappoint.

Thanks very much for the reply. I do really like the "Midnight" look!
My OCD has me leaning towards the Baja Designs bar, but the stealth look is super nice.

Baja designs has far better color temp, Rigid 'white' is in the 7000k range, which is very blue. Baja white is 5000k which is significantly better.

I've owned a few Rigid lights in the past and their warranty seems great until you try to use it. If the lens of any light exhibits damage that Rigid thinks they can attribute to rocks, debris, or a collision, they will deny your request for warranty service. According to the Rigid website, many of their lights feature unbreakable polycarbonate lenses, so I never understood their stance on warranty claims regarding lens damage. My advice is to look elsewhere.

That's good info that I hadn't considered! Given the fact that I've invested in BD already, this will probably really make a difference.

Also, good info, thanks for the insight!

I used Feng Shui on your truck and the energy forces suggest BD for the synergy with your ditch and bumper lights.

Hahahaha, great stuff. I am definitely leaning that way now.
