Lights automatically turning off, taco SR

Before my headlights wouldn’t automatically turn off, which i got used to in my 2019 tacoma sr,

Recently got keyless entry and remote start installed and now they turn off when i lock from the remote. So thats pretty cool. It still says turn off lights on the dash when the trucks off with the door open. But they turn off now. Very happy

 

I thought non auto lights still turned off if you locked the car twice while they are on.

 

Not on mine, I had a regular key entry. I would lock the doors from the inside and shut the door and they would stay on

 

Curious, if you don’t lock from inside, leave your lights on, and lock *twice* from the outside using your key, do your lights turn off?

Sounds like you got a bonus with your mod. Did you install the remote start yourself? I want to install it on mine, but with the engine cutting out when the door opens, I can't justify it.

 

Nah brother, i got it done through the dealer ship, its after market though. Was around 600 for keyless entry and remote start.

 

That is one of my favorite features of the truck. It works like that in the parking light position also.

 

My Daylight Running Lights go off when I turn the key off. Never tried the headlights though.
