Headlight relocation mod is on the menu. Going to rerout them up into the side marker lights.

I did the green wire Flip mod (where your Parking/Corner lights turned into the Blinkers and I got tiny LED side markers and installed them on the corners of my fiber glass Fenders and they are my Foglights which are on all the time w/ the Headlights

To Tell you the truth, all these fog light mod Thread started to confuse me and still confuse me as to what they do..I guess I’m stoopid and or The descriptions all start to look and sound the same but only differ by a slight variation of a word or two. Has anyone else gotten confused with the Lighting Mods ? Another things is there different ways to do the same Mod but they make it sound like it’s a different mod....And then there’s the Hyper Flash Remedy LoL.....Just get the darn CP35 Relay and F$@k the resistors and or anyone accessory to fix it when the Relay is the easiest way .....Haha

Anyways here’s my Tiny LED foglights
I wanna get some KC amber foglights and install them some where near the reservoirs in the Front Bumper Andy or maybe into the Skid plate

It's just an L bracket bolted to the frame for the pods.

Like in the stock bumper or? I just drilled a hole and used a a couple big washers and nut/ bolt.

On my tube bumper I just used a self tapper and the provided mount

LED turn signals fastened on top of the manufactures' for which I could find no replacement.
Drilled and used self tapping screws. Its clean.

They will definitely destruct if hit by anything... but for $6 who cares?

You can drill holes where the turn signal mounts and screw bolts through running to the back of your pod (if your pod has mounting holes in the back)

The red holes are where I drilled the holes and the mounts on the pod lined up
Also had to do a little trimming to make mine fit

They’re a little big but they work and light output is pretty good for some cheap pods

I understand that it can be confusing when people do the same mod but call it different names. Especially when some do the change just because it looks cool, not of necessity or functional improvement. So first it needs to start with correct naming of lights:

    1. Corner marker (a.k.a. position, a.k.a. parking) lights. In USA the legal color is orange (I'm not sure if some states allow white color as well). The light intensity is low, equivalent to 5W incandescent bulb. The intention is to make it visible from side and front at night, there is no need to be visible during day. The light is turned on when dimmer switch is in "Tail" or "Head" position. In "Tail" position the light will turn on with key in any ignition switch position or without the key (hence "parking" function).

    2. Fog light. The legal color is white or yellow. The light intensity is high (equivalent to 55W incandescent bulb). The intention is to put a light on the road in front of the vehicle in low visibility condition. It should have a cut-off below bumper, so it does not illuminate the mist/fog particles in front of driver (to reduce blinding effect from illuminated fog). It is similar to low beam pattern but it is lower and wider than low beam headlight. Fog light can be turned on by independent switch only with headlights in low beam position.

    3. Day-time Running Lights (a.k.a. DRL). The USA legal color is white or orange. The light intensity is medium (equivalent to 20-30W incandescent bulb). The intention is to make car visible from the front during the day at high visibility conditions. The pattern can be omnidirectional or similar to high beam - Auto-DRL Tacoma (a.k.a. Canadian version) uses high beam with limiting the output powers resistor as DRL. DRL should be turned on automatically (or at least by independent switch) when engine is running (or key is in ACC position) and should be automatically turned off when dimmer switch is in Tail or Head position. It is not allowed to use DRL at night (because it will blind other drivers) and not advisable to use it in low visibility conditions (blinding effect from light bouncing of the fog).

    4. Front turn signal lights (a.k.a. blinkers). The legal color is orange. The light intensity is medium (equivalent to 20-30W incandescent bulb). The intention is to make it visible from the front (preferably from the side too) during the day and night at any visibility conditions. The pattern is omnidirectional to make it visible from any direction. Turn signal lights are turned by independent switch when engine is running (or key is in ACC position). The legal flashing frequency is between 60 and 90 cycles per minute. It is not legal to drive with hyperflashing (about 120 cycles per minute). Hyperflashing, it is a way to notify driver about the burned bulb (burned bulb detection feature built into stock flasher).

The important point is, that Tacoma came from the factory with all these lights that meet all legal requirements listed above. When modifying lighting in your truck, make sure that after the change the truck still meets all these requirements. Example of "legal" mods:

    1. Blinker relocation by adding the second medium intensity bulb to corner lamp (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/01-04-blinker-relocation-mod.305152/). Very popular when replacing stock front bumper with off-road bumper where there is no place for front blinker.

    2. Blinker addition to corner lamp using polarity switchback LED (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...asy-way-on-1st-gen.61586/page-2#post-18211826)

    3. Blinker addition to corner lamp using Trailer Light Converter (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...trailer-light-converter.497969/#post-15458659)

    4. Add DRL to front turn signal lamp using Switchback LED (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-switchback-leds-a-how-to.85986/#post-1633671). It still needs to "tune up" to make sure DRL is off at night (some connection options are not good like connecting DRL to corner lamp circuit).

    5. Fully custom job by @mechanicjon (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...heater-courtesy-mud-lights-controller.489775/)

    Examples of incorrect ideas:

    1. Relocate blinker function to corner lamp using existing low intensity bulb (blinker not visible at day time).
    2. Add "fog light" using switchback LED in front turn signal lamp or relocate blinker to corner lamp and reuse front turn signal housing for "fog light" (Front turn signal lamp does not handle power and does not have a light pattern required for fog light)

One more option, I'm not sure if someone did that: the other option for blinker relocation is replacing T10 socket in corner lamp with 3157 socket (some frankensteining is required) and use dual intensity orange 3157 LED bulb like this one https://www.superbrightleds.com/mor...on-27-smd-led-tower-wedge-retrofit/3557/7522/ or https://www.superbrightleds.com/mor...-18-smd-led-tower-wedge-retrofit-car/802/802/

The low intensity side used as a parking light and 3 times higher intensity is used for turn signal.
