Lights on dash

2021 tacoma 4x4 serviced by dealership now i have 3 different lights on replaced steering wheel angle sensor lasted about 2 weeks and now light are back on tryed to engage 4x4 but on dash its says system failure gee i only have less than 20,000 miles

 

Take it back.
Tell them Fix It Again Tony.

 

I forgot to plug in my pre-collision monitor one time when i took the grill off. Same notification. Easy to check.

 

Thankfully you’re still under warranty.

If I we’re to guess, I’d say it was an ABS issue
Mostly because these 2 people had the same warning, and both cases were a bad ABS harness/wire.

I second this. Should be pretty easy to check. If it is hooked up, take it to the dealership to find out what is wrong.

 

This may be a dumb question from a mechanical noob, but if it was this wouldn't the codes have come up immediately and not two weeks later?

 

I admittedly missed that part. It is not uncommon for the computer to wait to throw codes just in case the issue is an anomaly. This is why your check engine light doesn't come back on immediately when the auto store (or repair shop) clears the codes.

 

Yup I get it. Stored vs pending codes. I just would have thought that if the sensor was unplugged that would have gone from pending to stored pretty quickly. I appreciate the explanation

 

Any recent mods such as a lift or larger tires?

 

wow, did the dealer scratch that gauge cover all the hell, or did you? I use a duster and not a cleaning towel, as it will just scratch every time.

 

Did yiu find out what the problem was?
