Ordered a new access cab 4x4 on Saturday. Now I need to find some lightweight AT tires and lightweight black wheels. I wanna go up to 2657516s. Wanna keep everything stock. Suggestions based on experience please!

    Too few to list.
I don't think they make light weight AT tires. C load would be the lightest for an AT unless you want to go P which looks like an AT. Nittos are decent.

What I mean is a light tire weight wise that wont weigh a lot more than the stock 245 hankook dynapro H/Ts. P rating is fine mostly DD with some off road travel mostly on forrest service roads.

Terra Grapplers? Good in the snow?

I think Terra Grapplers only come in 17 inch sizes. I have Duractrac in the size you mentioned. They seem decent in snow. It will slip on RWD since the back end is light. 4x4, no complaints and gripped well on fresh or hard pack. Slush is a different story though but still decent.

Toyo Open Country AT II are pretty light weight and seem to roll very well. If possible get an Xtra load LT sized tire and not P-Metric. There will be a small amount of added mass but the construction is slightly stronger.

Terra Grappler G2 and Toyo Open Country AT II are both pretty good in snow. I've driven on some light fluff and a little ice with no issues.

Not personally but I have heard people running the Firestone A/T in the past. Some loved them.

Nice. I'd check tire rack for reviews. Just take the opinions with a grain of salt. The factory tires on my Ram are Firestone Transforce HT and people keep saying they are 100% junk. My experience so far has been pretty good especially through those crazy rains we had here around Houston earlier in the year. No off reading except for the beach and 4x4 high took care of any issues.

I agree. Go to tirerack.com and you can check the weights of the tires in the size you're looking for. You'll also find a lot of reviews, but like 2.7Taco said, take the reviews with a grain of salt. I will say that going from 245s to 265s you're going to go up quite a bit in weight, and I went from P series to P series.

Hard to beat Cooper AT/3's for the money. I have them, in that size on mine. I wrote the check for $550 3+ years ago and got an $80 rebate making them $470 OTD. Ive just hit 50,000 miles on them and expect 5000-7000 more before replacing them.

You don't need LT's on a Tacoma. The P series are rated for the same weight capacity as LT D rated tires and more than C rated tires. The only advantage LT's offer is better sidewall protection if you are into rock crawling or if you run E rated tires for more weight capacity on 3/4 ton trucks.

Personally I have vivid memories of those AT3'S while working at a tire shop. Many return customers that complained of out of balance tires. Some of which was the bead kicking off the clip weights and in some cases some internal tire issues. Even with that said most people have great luck with them.
They are highly liked in the off road community for their great road manors and off road performance.

That's what sucks about the internet. You get so many different answers you don't know who to believe and not to believe. Very frustrating trying to research anything.
