Got this 87 back 1993. You’d be amazed where this thing could go when it was bone stock.

Clearly you never wheeled in or around one, loads of fun on a tight technical trail. In stock form a truly amazing little rig. Absolutely sucked on the interstate!

I had a built Sami for awhile and it went places I only dream of taking my Tacoma. At the same time my Tacoma goes places I only dreamt about taking my Samurai. Like the freeway

Old picture of my Tacoma, but my samurai has stayed stock and has just been sitting around. Now that I’m
pretty much done with the Tacoma, I might just move on to fix up the samurai. 3F3A60A0-7EEA-4452-9334-231C6807E6FD.jpg

We tried weeling plenty and drove in it since we would ride share to school. He had a soft topper full time since we were in S AZ, but it gets to 30F often in the winter. It was a silly little fucking vehicle.

I think this is now the second circle jerk thread for old Samurai owners on TW that's been inspired by this news story.

We have a general automotive section as a catch all for everything else automotive.

Maybe we should move it to the first gen section

The 3rd Gen in the busiest forum that’s why there’s so much bullshit posted. If it were put anywhere else nobody replies.

Here is mine. It never broke. 1.6L geared, locked. Everyone loved driving it. It was my wife's daily driver.

Even though my neat freak agrees that there are too many threads about other vehicles in this sub forum when there is a specific place for them, I still would rather wax poetic about a quirky and discontinued SUV than have to hear someone complain about why their truck isnt getting 30 mpg while not being able to out accelerate a bugatti.
