I got one too, an opinion that is.

Bought my DCSB OR in December, didn't order it and bought it off the lot.
    Here are my thoughts:
    • The interior styling is nice
    • Front nose is too long, I guess gone are the days of small trucks
    • The entertainment screen looks like it was designed by high school kids. Very crude display, cluttered and busy to read quickly while driving.
    • It needs seat height adjustment
    • Volume and tune knobs on the radio are ridiculous. They are so short, smooth and blends with in the screen background. I often end up touching part of a screen when using the knobs which takes me to different screens.
    • Seat warmer indicator look like it's from the 80's, doesn't fit with the rest of the style
    • Seat warmer works awesome. Quick and hot!
    • Cup holders in the front are lame. They may be good for small drink cans, but even regular size water bottles tip over when braking. Will not reliably hold big gulps
    • Steering adjustment is a joke, doesn't telescope out enough
    • Interior is very quite
    • With ECT on, it drives the way I expect it to. Without ECT, it's OK
    • Engine is powerful. Step on it, it will go
    • Off Road model is very smooth on bumps and potholes
    • No programmable garage door opener. Really? How hard would that be???
    • Blind spot monitor and back up sonar work great
    • Backup camera gets blurry/wet/dirty too easy/often
    • Not enough storage in the front
    • No place for sunglasses overhead
    • Hands free call sound is great!
    • Rear visibility is poor
    • Love the hold down rails in the bed
    • Love the AC power outlet
    • Love the USB interface for MP3 music
    • Love the auto traction controls. Handles unexpected road conditions very well
    • Did I say radio/nav interface sucks?
    • Stereo sounds good (non-JBL), I don't see the need to upgrade unless you are very selective
    • OEM all weather floor maps are very functional
    • OEM headlights are very bright and functional. I don't see the NEED to upgrade
    • Love locking tailgate
    • Rear plastic bumper covers (even the "chrome" ones which are plastic), I just can't get used to plastic rear bumper. I guess I am old school
    • Brakes are too aggressive/touchy. Difficult to ease into braking, a concern when roads are bad.
    • Headlight switch, can't easily tell what position it's in
    • A lot more mild driving/steering than 2rd gen
    • Window, mirror and lock controls on the door are nicely laid out with good styling
    • High speed road bumps/dips can cause the steering to feel loose
    • Door storage pockets should be deeper/taller
    • SmartKey works very well and opens doors without a glitch
    • Added: Heater mirrors work great, fast too
    • Added: Sun visors need more warning stickers, I still see some grey spots... Not!
    I would buy it again.

I agree with a lot of it. Except the radio...I like it and the interface is quick (jbl). The knobs are to my liking, but we wont go there. Could be my standards are so low they don't exist. :proposetoast:

Agree with most of this. Never had a nav system or interface in a vehicle so don't know the difference. Sunglass holder is in the sport and as far as I know the SR5 as well. Good post either way.

Mine doesn't look like that. I guess MT and AT have different cup holders

Yeah the AT gain two additional cup holders above the shifter, while the MT takes up the entire spot.

    Check out my build
I haven't used the new Tacoma's radio/nav system but I can't say I enjoy any of them. I hate that the are all touch screen and I prefer real buttons. I like real buttons because I don't have to look to change things. When I bought the aftermarket system in my Tacoma now I made sure all of the normal functions could be accessed without looking, by use of real buttons. Volume KNOB because it is very much easier to use without looking and buttons to change songs/stations etc. On my radio I can easily switch between auto scan, seek, or preset list by pressing one button then using the same up/down all without taking my eyes off the road.

Agreed. It's honest and to the point. Actually almost identical to how I feel about my '16, but I have a TRD Sport 4x4, so I have a sunglasses holder! (but the sunglasses holes kind of sucks because when I open it my sunglasses always fall out!) I hold some of the same gripes the OP has, but luckily those gripes are pretty insignificant, or at least not big enough to warrant not buying the truck, as they are just small details or creature comforts or personal preference, and don't take away from why I actually bought a truck and not a car in the first place.

I think most of the people that really whine about the small stuff either belong in a 4 door sedan with all the creature comforts or just like to complain and don't belong in a truck.

Dude needs to clean the interior of his truck. It looks like that and it's only a 2016?! Hate to see how nasty it is in a year! Now if that's an honest to goodness work truck only, I apologize for my previous statement.
