Nearly all those things would have been detectable during a test drive and/or just sitting in the truck for 10 minutes. Did you do either of those things or just look at it and say, "I'll take that one" ?

Just a tad off topic but one of these really speeds up the cleaning out the inside.

He said "I would buy it again" so, I think, he's just giving his take & overall likes the truck.

I have to say I think the interface is great....I used the sync system in my sister's expedition the other day, and it was absolutely horrible to try and figure out how to get to different things. the system was also quite unresponsive.....in comparison, the the entune system is fantastic, albeit with some quirks of its own

I saw that. But why buy the truck and gripe about ALL THOSE THINGS if you were aware of them when you bought the truck ?

It would be like complaining about your wife's shopping sprees when you knew she had 200 pairs of shoes when you met her.

Relax my friend, he is just talking about his particular truck. I'm sure your opinion is much different then his. His views are parallel to mine when I spent a day with a 2016. Its a nice truck, not perfect, but nice.

Maybe because OP, like a lot of us, understands cookie cutter vehicles, made & manufactured for a broader group than only himself specifically, likes the truck well enough to consider it a good value even if not exactly what he wants.

I love my T4R but, there sure are things that would make it more appealing to me that I'd be willing to pay extra for but, I bet Toyota would sell fewer of them if they made changes just for me... Is it perfect for me, no...do I consider it a good value, yes.

Well, if I had a laundry list that long of things I don't like about a vehicle, I'm pretty sure I could find something I like better. Geez, would have been easier to list the things he does like and say he doesn't like everything else. Oh well... his money. Gripe away !

Not really sure why he hates the touch screen so much. It's the best touch screen I've had in a car to date. Perhaps it's your first full entertainment system in a vehicle or you aren't that tech savvy and have a difficult time navigating and understanding it? Time spent with it can remedy both of those and you can customize the front screen so it isn't as "busy" as you say.

I can't understand why Toyota made the Homelink mirror an upgrade. This is a must have in my world. I've grown too accustom to the feature. My second gen never had it which always drove me nuts but in today's day and age, shit like this should not be an upgrade. And for the price point of most of these trucks why have we not seen at least a drivers power seat. Still didn't stop me from ordering a 3rd Gen but still, c'mon Toyota these trucks aren't cheap and we should at least have those two options right out of the gate.

Nah - I think I got the best year of the 2nd gens with homelink/temp/compass/backup cam in the mirror and I can't imagine taking that huge loss in torque you guys took with the 3rd gens. But hey... if you don't want to use your truck as a truck and are happy with a car engine, then good for you.

Obviously joking about the torque. I plan on keeping my truck forever but if I didn't have my 2013 and was buying new, I'd be in a 2016 Tacoma.

I hated that camera in the rear view. I'd jump in the wife's Mazda, and think to myself "why can't Toyota do this? I have a screen right on my dash!". Then they did in the '14s. I had a '13.

I use wife's Mazda 3 to haul, truck is strictly for food shopping and cosmetic appointments.
