Miracle to find one in the street - around here more likely to find some demon on one zooming down a sidewalk near UofA. Or lying across a sidewalk tripping idiots that won't look up from their phones....................

Cool way to turn around a bad thing, I'm betting the snorkel vs dent repair may have had some cost advantage.
I don't get how people can just drop stuff like that in the streets. Poor upbringing I suppose. I'm glad we don't have those scooters in my town. they seem like a disaster since how I understand the system works is you can pick them up and leave them anywhere. They tried those bike rentals in my town where you pay for the time until the bike is returned to one of the automated rental stands, they still had bikes in the local creek.

Looking at the actuarial table, this appears to be a the highly sought after lime green model. I can see your insurance company being concerned. It’s worth more now than when it was purchased…

As a hater of fake snorkels, this one is acceptable.

I don't blame the OP for leaving this info out. The dent was actually from the rider's forehead, not the scooter handlebars :frusty:

Mostly electrical shit that nobody cares about.
This is hilarious. I think running over a lime scooter is the truck equivalent of stepping on a rake.

My mind goes directly to how clueless the people are that leave those nasty ass scooters and ebikes directly in the middle of a sidewalk, sometimes broadside. Now let's say someone in a wheelchair needs to get by. You can guarantee the asshole that discarded their germ vector of transportation doesn't give a shit. Those clueless people are the ones society doesn't want or need. Not sorry, purge them. It's one of the most supremely upsetting signs of our shitty, self involved times. Way too many people don't think five minutes ahead of what they're doing, or more than two feet past their own stupid faces. Fucked right up. Shit, I'm only 36, I wonder how cranky I'll be if I live another few decades....

All true. In a few decades you will have had more opportunities to have helped more people not to be asswipes.

I clicked into this thread hoping to see a picture of the scooter sticking out the side of your truck (snorkel-style)... but this was ok, too.

Wow!! This is definitely the best way to handle some damage. 100% cooler than having the fender changed IMO. Props to you for turning an otherwise crappy situation around!
