Damn you have a hot temper. I don't read canadian so I can't understand your crappy fucking grammar.

Limewire isn't just for sharing music files so you can't really say they are charging for pirated music and if you could read you would seen that I said it doesn't matter if someone charges money or distributes someone else's music for free, it is still copyright infringement

Hmm, these are always interesting... discussions.

For me, personally, it is a moral issue. If I am using something created by someone else without some kind of permission from them I think that is wrong. To me, purchasing music, movies etc... Gives me that permission. So, I decided a few years ago to wipe all of my pirated content and destroy all my pirated movies. I don't have anything I haven't paid for.

That's my view. What any individual decides to do is up to them. You can get free and totally legal music on http://www.jamendo.com/en/, audio books from http://librivox.org/ and a fairly random selection of content types from http://www.clearbits.net/ if money is tight.

yet anouther reason why Pearl Jam is soo cool. you don't need limewire, you don't need torrents, you don't need old school napster.

you just need a computer an internet connection. just about every concert they every put on is on the net to be downloaded free and the band is cool with that.

or you can choose to contribute and buy a cd of the show from the band.

    PJ rules.

FYI If you want to support the artists, buy their merchandise (t-shirts and posters) and go to their concerts. Thats where they make their money. They make pennies on record sales, the rest goes to the record company.

I heard that Limewire was sponsored by the RIAA. They were using it as a diagnostic tool to learn more about shared music. Frostwire was released as an alternative to Limewire that was not affiliated with RIAA.

BTW- I thought they just changed the laws in Canada to make file sharing illegal here too.

    same shit as everyone else
When i was a teenager I loved Napster... then it got shut down. Limewire seemed to always be full of Malware and other shit to slow you down. Once I discovered Pandora and XM i've completely stopped downloading any music...

I thought limewire was only for porn anyways?
