is this with no lift? also how is the ride quality with those tires? I want the same (or near the same ride quality, i.e. quiet, smooth) as the factory michelin's, but I also would like a little more aggressive tread than the michelin's

Looks good! Can you list your exterior mods or do you have a build page?

Hello peoples of Taco land

I'm new here (just crossed over from GM land) and below is my 17 Limited.

Only mods so far are light mods: LEDs in Headlights and Reverse lamps as well as the 24" LED bar below the bumper... I know there is gonna be some criticism, but I had it left over from another truck and I honestly LOVE the light effect it has from that position, plus, it was literally bolt on and most people really like the look, most importantly, me! ;) Next "mod" i think is to trade out the Predator Steps for Chrome Step sides to go with the rest of the truck. I liked them at 1st but that feeling has now worn off. (Yes, I like the Chrome on the Limited)

The TRD Grill with white lettering really works on the Limited. Also installed Morimoto HID's 35w, 4500 bulbs and Truxedo Lo Pro.

The Predators are extremely functional but don't look right on anything that isn't lifted IMO.

Thanks for the rundown! I was thinking of replacing the grill with the TRD Pro or the BAMF but I can live with it plastic dipped.

    Reasons I got the limited!

    1. Leather even though it isn't real leather
    2. Sun roof
    3. Cool buttons
    4. Heated seats
    5. Knew I was gonna rip out the suspension anyways
    6. Knew I didn't care for crawl control
    7. If I got the off road I would have gotten an air locker to replace the Electric one
    8. Color matched fenders

Is there any other good reasons! I can't think of one lol

    2016 Limited Long Bed.
    • ARB Air Locker for the rear end.
    • Tonneau Cover
    • Roof Rack
    • Bilstein 6112 Series Front
    • Bilstein 5160 Series Rear Shocks
    • Rigid Industries- Toyota Tacoma Grille with E 20" - LED Flood:E-Series
    • BFG KO2 LT 275/70R17 tires
    • Method Rims
    • The ride and handling is vastly improved over stock. The front has a 2 inch lift by way of the adjustable Bilstein 6112's which gives the Taco a level profile.
    • I liked the leather interior because it looks good and it's easy to clean and the JBL sound system is more than decent.
    • I don't use the step bars for entry/exit rather they work well to minimize rock chips & the sand blasting effect on the bottom panels during the winter months.

To me they look really good, but because I do not need them to get in/out of the truck they are currently functioning as shin bangers... :censored:

I guess I need to decide on a cosmetic lift or to leave it and swap 'em out. Since I'm on the subject, what is the best recommendation for achieving a practical lift. I say practical because I will not be doing any climbing. In my area open trails is all we have, but 99% of the time I will be on the road so that takes precedence. Off-road suspension is obviously not required, but I also don't want to decrease my current drive experience for cosmetic purposes.

    Thanks in advanced.

I believe the most common and economical way are Bilstein 5100 adjustable in the front raised 1.5 and a 1 inch block in the back.
