I got the Cat skins leather, and love it, over a year and looks perfect, I have a mastiff and St. Bernard, I use a blanket when they ride inside but no damage yet.
I condition the seats once a month with Malco leather conditioner, works great and smells like leather.

No issues at all with wear on the SofTex. The seats still look brand new. At first I was skeptical and highly turned off since it was fake leather; I get it now why Toyota chose it. I have put some things on the seats camping and no scratches at all. Other than the ridiculous bass on the radio, the SofTex is my single favorite thing. Congrats and enjoy the your truck when you get it. Let me know how you like it once you get it!

To the guys that are saying the softex is junk, to be blunt they have no clue what they are talking about. It's a good solid material. "Yeah bit it isn't leather" they will say, yeah no sh*t, but is that necessarily a bad thing? I had leather in my previous car, and my wifes car has leather and at the end of the day I prefer the leather over the softex. Would I want a leather seat cover instead of softex, heck no. At the end of the day a seat cover is just that an aftermarket seat cover. Any truck or car I step in I know right off the bat that I am sitting on a seat cover, and it kinda takes a little bit away from the truck.

I like my limited. I could do without the chrome wheel covers, but I do like the look of the 18's. The heated seats, nav and jbl are nice. Did I pay up for that stuff, for sure. Can I get heated seats, navigation and speakers installed cheaper after market, yup. But at the end of the day, saving a grand or two in the grand scheme of things isnt worth my time to have that stuff installed by some garage especially when I'm intend on owning this truck for foreseeable future. And I like the fact that I have only seen one other limited since I bought the truck last August.

I very much like mine too. Didn't care for the wheels either, so I jettisoned them for a set of the 17" TRD wheels and mounted 265/70/17 tires that don't rub and look like they belong. (They're the same size the 4Runner uses with the same gearing, so I don't know why they weren't fitted on the Tacoma.) My only actual complaint is that it would have been nice if Toyota illuminated all the switchgear on the dash and doors.

I am one of the guys that doesn't care for the chrome, so most has been removed. I painted the rear bumper to match the truck, installed paint matching mirror covers, swapped out the chrome driving/fog light surrounds with black ones. I changed the chrome grill out for a white (painted to match) and installed a black Grill Craft grill and lower black gill as well. My latest "Mod" was a TRD Super Charger and TRD exhaust and on and on.
Anyway, I personally think that Toyota SHOULD have done a LOT more to the Tacoma before calling it "Limited". The interior should have a LOT more accessories (like the Tundra). The stereo system is awesome but they should have added a lot more (information settings), electric seat adjustment (at LEAST the driver side), more in-cab storage, etc..
    The God Luck !

Couldn't have said it better myself! Since I bought my truck in September 2013, I have never seen another Limited on the road.
