I'm finding it near my cat and muffler the most. The area near the muffler being the worst.

Guys if your vehicle qualifies for this keep posting your experiences. More pictures please.

Had mine in for state inspection, and without officially doing the frame inspection the tech told me it would pass and be coated. However, I am not sold it is the best thing for the frame. They told me that they have replaced 7 frames this month, at a cost of $13000 each to Toyota. Dang.

Note that there is no complementary Corrosion Warranty extension for the 2nd gen tacomas. The factory Corrosion Warranty is 60 months, regardless of mileage. The first gen's got an extension to 15 years I believe if they got the inspection and spray or frame replacement.

I would have had um spray it if they would extend the Corrosion Warranty.

Any update on what states are being done now? In the first post, the OP mentioned this was being rolled out to different states at different times... I am in MN....

Any guess is a good one. No one really knows except toyota. Only thing really to do at this point is log into the owners site and see if you get a notification.
3/2016 is the end date so who knows? My guess is next year for my state (VA)

Mine is an 05 and the rust has bugged me for years. So I was of course anxious to get it inspected resulting in a new frame. But I didn't consider my upcoming vacation and needs for the truck. Once they have it and order the frame, it's theirs until the work is done. Food for thought...

I'd be very interested what/if Toyota says anything about your fluid film on the chassis .....

I wish I had taken pictures for mine, as I truly believed my 06 wouldn't qualify and it did. Just got word back from dealership that my frame just came in. If I can, I'll ask if I can see the old frame and try and get some pictures...also BTW, Toyota will only cover $35 per day, which puts you in an accord or camry, so beware, going from a truck for work to that has been a killer, especially when you are talking 2-5 weeks.

Also, they have been calling me regarding a trade-in, will be interesting what they consider Blue Book value, now that the frame/control arms/leaf springs etc have been replaced...

Re; trade-in. They called me earlier this week and offered 16.5K for my 05. I politely declined.

They offered me $18.5 for mine, '07 DC-OR with 45K on the ODO. Not a chance!

At first looking at your pictures, I would think you would just get the under coat. But the later pictures showed a hole that is not supposed to be there. So you should get a new frame.

It looks like a hole in the second to last picture. It's my understanding any perforation means a new frame.

yeah i thought for an 05 the frame was in ok condition other than that one spot. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if Toyota put a new frame in.

It seems to me a little BS that it's based on state of registration.

What if I just registered my 06 Taco in Florida when I moved to Orlando after living in Boston for eight years?

That's a good point! People do move and if their vehicle was in the rust belt for years it should be inspected. I've heard that vehicles kept near the sea rust badly as well.

I just ordered a 90950-01992 for the large rectangular holes in the front wheel wells. I broke one of mine when spraying in fluid film. Measured the hole width at 39mm. We'll see if it fits when it gets here.
