Dropped it off this morning for the frame spray... Got one of their 2014 Corollas as a "rental" but it's one of their "billboard" cars... That's all they offer. I drove it home, showered and jumped on the supersport to go to work. ;)

    So retarded is Toyota.

The hitch holds the bumper on and the ass end together.

If you take off the hitch you can't mount the bumper without other brackets and those brackets suck.

Interesting.... I dropped it off this morning and they claimed 2 - 3 days. I just got a call and can go pick it up because they are finished. They said "Because your frame is in such good shape and so clean, it took no time at all!"

The voice in my head is screaming "HACK JOB!!!" But the other voice said, "Who gives a shit! You're selling it and getting a new 2015..."

I'm going to park it on the street for a couple days to "drip-dry" and cure. I'll get some pics of it as soon as it stops dripping (or between drips).

For reference, this was at Bill Dube Toyota in Dover, NH.

I've noticed the 2014 frames look like they are painted black now with a decent coating so i'd imagine they are doing at least some prevention now

Lets hope so - I always wonder how the managers in companies like Toyota think - Lets save $1 on each truck by not treating the frame - million truck = $1,000,000 - woot ! Now lets put new frames on all those trucks 5 years later - Duh ?

NJ should be on the list for the LSC. From that size hole, you would get a new frame.

I'd like for them to get me a new frame, ship it to me and let me work on it in my garage for about two weeks.

Then pick it up and swap it to my truck.

Spoke with someone from toyota corporate for about an hour, they are having someone who deals with the frame replacements call me tomorrow. They also said to bring it to my dealer and ask for a loaner. We will see what the dealer says in the AM. NJ is on the list just not in that first batch, I hope with this I will be pushed up.

Update: just got back from the dealership. They inspected my frame said that it should be covered under E0D replacement, but it is not in my area so it is now up to Toyota corporate. I will have to wait for the phone call from corporate later today or tomorrow.

Not happy with what they wrote on the form it says that it appears to of been hit several times to check for perforation. That is not the case I put a screwdriver in the hole because something was hanging out of it, and the whole center between the two holes fell out. I hit it after the fact to see how bad it spread. I don't think it matters cause you should be able to tap your frame with a hammer without pieces falling off.

I agree because they hit mine with a hammer when they inspected it for this! Regardless, there's a hole and you need it whole so they need to replace it regardless of a hammer hit or two.

I'm going to try and get some pics tonight of the frame spray. I didn't see any new drips on the road where I parked it last night so it's safe to get under it now.

Good luck guys I had my frame inspected at Toyota of riverhead in New York. Service manager said that it should definitely qualify for replacement due to perforations on the drivers side by the cab mount and catalytic converter. Toyota corporate tool 5 days to get back to me by phone and said there's nothing they can do because New York hasn't been authorized yet.

I found another perforation on the passenger side yesterday, so I will be heading to toyota today or tomorrow to have it documented that the rot is spreading and mainly just to be a squeaky wheel. They couldn't give me an eta as to when New York will be authorized for this campaign to begin. All I can say is stay on them and continue to have any issues documented by the dealership. Good luck guys and I'll update here and the thread I made for me to track my issues for myself.

They will probably try and tell me my hole is from long tube headers and deleting the cats

I'm also in NJ, but my 08" has no holes. I treat her very good so I think Ill be one of the last 08's from this region to need a replacement.

Now see here is the issue I have with your situation, when I had my courtesy inspection done I was told that if a hole was discovered my truck would not be returned to me due to a new frame had to be ordered and the dealership can in no uncertain terms send an a potential unsafe car out onto the streets....which tells me your dealership knows there is an unsafe condition but will not do the right thing...makes you wonder what other conditions they "let go"
