Yours looks like mine in some spots. I would have it checked. Mine started small two months ago now I have a 3" hole by the front right catalytic converter and the left is starting to bubble.

I don't like the first picture - Bottom edge and also bottom left rivet. Not sure if it would fail inspection - suggest you bring it in and get it checked. You could wait until the end of the recall - if you think it will be bad enough by then to fail .

The last picture shows that the hole by the cat has started. You could hit it with a hammer and see if it goes through.

Stopped at my local dealer for an oil filter, asked if they replaced many frames, parts guy said they are waiting on parts.

He also said if you refuse the coating you are SOL on a frame replacement.

If you have no perforation you might want to wait..........

Hey sea. Looks like a new frame to me.
Better bring it in and get on the list.
Let us know what happens after the inspection.

Got a call on Friday, the 13th from Lia Toyota in Albany, NY. My appointment to get my frame replaced is on Wednesday. Going to get a free rental car while it's getting done.
Pretty happy, hopefully it comes out okay.

Yup, need to get back in there to complain. I don't know what they will be able to do. You'd have to strip all that crap off to actually reapply it for rear. I doubt they are capable of doing that.

So this is just a random question, but if they replace the frame would the truck then get a salvage title? or would it still be a normal title?

Good news!! Last I talked to them they were waiting on wire harnesses & leaf springs. As well as smaller parts. Guy tells me he has a stack of frames ready to be replaced behind the dealership.

    I'm waiting till April/may
