Hmm, I was curious as to whether mine was working or not so I did the same..

and NOTHIN, just tire spin, wtf?

when I changed my diff oil, I wasn't told about the additive you have to add in, and obviously didnt.

Think my LSD is broken too?

I'm a newbie - don't pick on me TOO hard!

Anyhow, I just bought a used 2007 PreRunner SR5 V-6 auto. I don't think it's got the LSD - there's no button on the dash to disengage the traction control (according to the manual, turn off traction control to lock the diff?) - and I thought all PreRunners after 05 had the LSD. What gives? Who makes a locker I can put in this axle? Does anyone know what the axle ratio is? (The dealer didn't have a line-set ticket and claims to not know how to get one...)

BTW, the low-down on towing is incredibly informational. Thanks. Will this truck pull my Jeep as a dinghy?

Do you remember what was the name of LSD? You may have truetrac that does not require an additive and indeed will spin wheel in the air...

Well Welcome to TW. Do you have the sport package, their the only trucks with the factory option for a LSD. The prerunners only have 4x4 suspension.

Nope only TRD sports and DC-LB (double cab long bed) had mechanical LSD (only until 2008)
There are no wires with mechanical LSD.
