I just have a quick question. I have an SR5 2008 4wd 5 speed 4cyl tacoma. I noticed the the passanger side rear wheel seems to be the powered wheel. I thought mine truck had a limited slip...am I wrong? If so is there a limited slip tacoma? Is there a way to make mine limited slip if its not? I'd like power to both wheels. Thanks for any input.

Detroit trutrac has one for tacomas , i want one too. SR5, if im not mistaken, is open diff , the TRD's get the traction of lsd or lockers.

Like Christian said, some of the SR5's came with an LSD. It just depended on the SR5 package. Take a look at the link in my sig to see what the LSD sticker looks like. That's the easiest way to tell if you have one.

All 09' and up have an auto LSD vs the Mech. that was in the sports! The auto engages when u turn off the traction control (clicking the skidding car button) if I'm not mistaken!

They have TWO levels of limited slip in 2WD...

    1) TRAC (with engine output regulation)
    2) AUTO LSD (no regulation)

In 4WD-High: it is called 'TRAC', but it has no regulation, the same as AUTO LSD.

    x2.

But to fix your statement anyway...ALL '09+ Tacomas have auto LSD. It is a standard feature that has nothing to do with the TRD Sport anymore.
