I was 3 1/2 months finding the 2014 4x4 Sport TRD DCLB. I was in no hurry to buy but knew I eventually wanted a
Tacoma. During that time I was able with www.cars.com and www.autotrader.com to have a good idea on what value
really was with the price ranges of selling prices I could see. Doing this I was able to buy my truck knowing it was a
good deal with the features and mileage I desired. When I saw it posted, I pounced.

My previous truck was a 2005 Dodge Dakota with 146,000 miles but no 4x4. I wanted to buy a truck on my timetable and not be forced to get something the next weekend.

The more you look at this site, the more you see what is available to do for mods. There are extremes.

Figure out what is value for you. Determine what you want and go for it. When you see a good deal, your homework is done, and you are able to move quickly.

    Good luck!!

You could get leather and sunroof with sport.

You could not get leather in a Sport in 2017, which is what he is looking at.
He also stated that the Sport has “no real options”, so I assumed no moonroof.

TRD Sport with just the limited options I added later.... grill, wheels. For 33k, saved a bunch off the price of a Limited

Hmmm. Looks like Sport owners say Sport. Limited owners say Limited.

My 2016 limited is my first Tacoma.
Bought sight unseen, only sat in new Tacoma- no test drive. Love Toyota fit, finish, quality and resell value. Wanted all bells and whistles for the first time in my life (was 47 at time). Still love truck, only wish I had the longer bed.

How tall are you ? The limited has a sunroof which takes up some headroom . If you are under 6 foot then the limited for the win..

I don’t see a single example that backs up that statement.

A Limited doesn’t have to keep the chrome:

I have a sport long bed with the premium package, so basically a limited. The limited has 18" wheels and more chrome, the sport has the hood scoop and option of a long bed. Just depends on what you like/want.

I like that brown saddle color on the limited and of course the sport has the hood scoop; all depends on what your looking for...in either case you can always customize after the fact

The Limited and the 5' bed are way nicer unless of course you need a 6' bed.

MT is the way to go, you get 4.3 rear end and all those smiles per gallon.
