I plugged the square holes with bondo. It did not have perfect just some thing to hold the Line-X. I also traced the outline of the flares with a black sharpie before I took them offphoto (6).jpg

photo (4).jpg to give the something to work with and follow the lines.

Nice. We're they white before or the black plastic ones?

There are no plastic flares on the truck anymore. They were the flat black ones, but I was already on my second set due to fading and zebra striping. They reluctantly replaced them under warranty. Taking them off completely gains about 1/2 inch clearance all around with no cutting.

Do you have a picture of the whole side of your truck? Thinking about doing this soon.

    Looks good OP!

Mine are starting to do that as well. Thinking about using liner on them, just not taking them off. Thoughts?

I don't know if line-x will stick to the plastic flares, plus there's weather striping on the inner edge that touches the body. So I don't know what they could use for a line. I did get the line-x Premium with uv block.

    looks great!

and YES, bedliner will stick to plastic flares, the striping is actually reasonable and precut from the dealership.

The shop used "Full Metal jacket" on mine

Did you put anything behind the holes before you used body filler on them?

Yes , I cut thin black plastic squares and taped from the back with metal tape. So I didn't have to use much bondo at all.

Oh okay, I was just hoping you did so in 3 weeks that bondo doesn't fall off. Cool!
