The rack is made by Rack-It. They call it a "sport rack" $550. It seems very solidly built.

I don't think it is fair for you to have a beat-around farm truck that is nicer than my daily driver. ;)

The Line-x looks great, and the subtle two-tone looks very good.

Very nice... I think the two tone sets it apart from the other ones I've seen.

Yeah that's the one. It's already coming in handy, today I hauled a huge ball of old rusty barbed wire to the dump. Just chucked it in there no worries.

The contractor version of that rack has the option for a clamp on mesh section which would be nice but it turns out that the visibility is good through the mesh and theres room to get a squeegee between the mesh and window, so it's just as well to have it permanent.

Thanks, it was a little nerve racking picking a color because there's really no going back. I was actually thinking it would come out a little lighter and a little flatter, but I like it as is. With a little fade and a little dust it might end up lighter and flatter anyway.

Thanks. The green was done with line-x extra. It has some UV protection to prevent color fade and it's supposed to be a little stronger as well.

Here's the rack and Line-x earning their keep.

No problems so far with the integrity of the line-x. I haven't cleaned it yet so I don't really know how much color fade has occurred. I'll probably clean it in June so I can compare before and after photos at that time.

That there ^^ is why you have to have mesh protection for your rear window on a working headache rack .

Nice to see a working class Tacoma on here :D

Great set up, my favorite truck on TW!

A timely post, this week I was calling the nearest dealers for a rack like yours and I'll probably order it next week. Do you recall what you paid for the load bar, that extra removable/adjustable bar?

I got two different quotes on the load bar that were very far apart $99 from one place and $199 from the other. I think the $199 was way high and guess it was a mistake but didn't want to keep pressing the issue.

    Thanks

That load bar came with the rack, but 199 sounds way high for just the load bar. It's pretty handy, it's allowed me to load some long heavy beams by sliding them across the load bar and up over the headache rack. I'm not sure I would have been able to load them on a regular contractors rack.

The best price of the places I checked was about $630 w/mesh and load bar - that was in Santa Rosa. You paid $550?

Thanks, I'm not sure what the forum rules are about that so I sent you a PM with the shop name.
