Does anybody have any experience with killing chrome by having Line-X bedliner material sprayed on it? If so, anybody got pictures? I'm really wanting to get rid of my chrome on the front grille and the back bumper and this seems like a good option... but it would have to match the rest of the truck well as far as color (black obviously)

Also, can the Line-X place tape off around the application area or would I have to remove the parts and take them in? Any help is appreciated and I'm sorry if there is another thread about this.

What you could do is CALL a Line-X place and get an immediate answer to your question instead of waiting for someone who wants to answer.

Only metal I believe, Plastic will not stand up to the prep work. Also the masking tape has a metal wire to make the contours pop with a nice crisp line.

I looked into this myself, and the linex guy told me that you really have to sand the chrome hard to get the linex to stick.

i did my chrome bumpers with herculiner................with the right prep....line-x should hold the same.

i brushed mine on, but bedliner being sprayed on would probably look a bit cleaner.
