Called my local line-x to get a quote on a backflip MX4 tonneau cover and the representative I spoke with tried real hard to sell me on line-x's own brand called truck gear. From what she was telling me, it's essentially the same thing as the backflip tonneaus except that it comes with a lifetime warranty and that they could sell it to me for cheaper.
[IMG] I also found some stuff online that said the line-x tonneau cover is just a rebadged backflip fibermax (not sure how true this is). Anyone have any experience with these covers?

Yeah I did. I love it so far. From what the guy at line x was telling me, it's just a slightly modified, rebadged backflip fibermax that they sell under the line x brand except that it comes with a lifetime warranty for both parts and labor. Here's a couple pics.

They quoted me like like 960 or something for the MX4 and the truck gear I got for $829.

I was looking at Extang but given the issues they have been having I will take a look at the Line-X cover.

    Cover looks nice.

I actually just bought this but haven't had it installed yet. What did you end up having the installers do with the drain tubes against the front of the bed? I'm half tempted just to let them dangle in the bed and see how much water enters the bed. Worst case I will get a rubber bed mat to allow the water to run under it if it does back up.
