    Ill sub to this

after wrapping my hood and tailgate in 3m satin black it looks awesome! BUT now im even more worried about scratching it than I was with paint  really having second thoughts about the whole truck especially considering all the trails here in AZ I run being notorious for pin striping....

I had the 3M satin black wrap on my truck as well. really like the color but was wafraid of tearing it on a tree limb. This should solve my issues with tree inspired pin striping.

Anyone have any experience with Plastidipping? Not sure if it would stand up to 4 wheeling...

Some people say around 25 lbs., some say up to 250 lbs. I guess it's all about how thick they apply it and how many coats

Agreed. Also, I can see the weight added being about the same as adding a bed shell/topper.

For my size truck they are estimating around 90 to 100 lbs. A full size tundra added approx. 150 lbs.

I dont either. It will be uniform weight distribution over the whole truck.

Yeah they recommend 3 (1gallon) cans for a car so it can't weigh that much. I'm more concerned with fading and peeling but it is supposed to last up to 3 years. Maybe I'll test it out on the girlfriends car. :D

I'm really surprised no one has mentioned "Monsta-Liner" I have used their product on many different vehicles and even my fly fishing boat. It is smooth and 100% UV proof. I got my toyota and my jeep extremely muddy and was able to take a hose and wash it off effortlessly. here are some pictures 1988 toyota and a 2001 wrangler.

If you do your research on the line-x premier or xtra it will not fade.
