Final price was about $5300 body work included and I had a lot of dings. The guy was super cool though and told me $4500 straight up. He also told me if my truck was in perfect condition it would’ve done it for $4000

I’m definitely changing the headlights lol I was thinking of doing lighter colors but I read it can get stained so I stuck with og black. I’ve seen a new 4Runner that did a dark navy-ish blue. It’s rad

Damn if it were me I would of told him to leave the dings alone and just paint that bitch. I paid for a hell of a nice paint job on my old S10 and it was that much

im not going to lie it is a pure pain in the rear, but other than alot of time i have less than probably $800 into painting miata, liner covers dings pretty nice, and good tip earplugs are the bees knees for keeping it of bolt holes

Yeah I was thinking of doing that. They insisted to do body work. They take pride in their work. Which is great, word of mouth goes a long way.

But line-x and the like hide a lot of those imperfections! Yeah I get the pride in work thing

Lol that was my thoughts but he said it’s the opposite when it comes to linex. The imperfections are more noticeable. Either way with the amount of body work done I think the price was fair. Wrinkled tailgate, bent door corner, countless dings, those right there would’ve been pricey.

Body work is where they got ya. I disagree seeing a bunch of clapped out beds being sprayed with it I couldn't tell the smaller stuff but you could tell the big stuff still even then they didn't look as bad as before

You’re probably right but I was prepared to spend out the ass lol I figured just invest in the body work, get it sprayed and not worry about future dents/scratches. Which you’d have to do with traditional paint jobs. My friend did his camero for $6000 lol so I don’t feel too bad lol.

Just wondering, what do they do about getting down in between the bed and cab?

if you can pay the bit extra, and you can deal with the permanence, then it's the way to go. i planned to wrap mine expecting one color, but i got another allocation in white and decided not to wrap. i'd consider LineX down the road when we're entering rat territory in the truck's life.

behind the rear seat hi-lift mount bracket, easy-out crossbed toolbox brackets, sliders, ATO plate rear bumper, hood/bed lighting, always-on 12v outlets, dashcam, Viper 5806V w/ GPS
If you want it to go 30 years and not rust out on you I hear those things help out a bit.

A guy that has a linexed 80 series land cruises mentioned to me that he was in a fender bender - he rear ended someone and caused an absurd amount of damage to the vehicle in front of him at a very low speed.

He threw out the idea that in a vehicle on vehicle collision the linexed vehicle stays considerably safer then the vehicle it hits AND admitted he was truly worried about killing other drivers/passengers if he were to ever get an accident. Says it’s way easier to seriously injur other vehicles/drivers at a low speed...

I picture a linexed egg, colliding with a regular egg... regular egg goes splat on impact

I see your point, but that would happen if a 1980 F-350 hit a Prius too though. I wouldn’t feel guilty at all driving around in a stronger truck than what everyone else might have.

A tractor trailer hitting any car is even worse hell a full size car hitting one of those silly smart cars. Physics plays a big role in crashes much more so than linex or not.
