Has anybody used this oil additive? If not is there an oil additive that might quiet the engine during cold starts?

You've got a brand new truck, do you really have a lot of noise in your engine? Oil additives really will do nothing to help your truck.

Yeah I do. When really cold it sounds lubrication starved. It clanks and clatters a lot. I have semi synthetic from the dealership free oil changes in it. Just kind of bothers me but maybe normal for this engine. I just do not remember my 2010 being this loud when cold.

I highly doubt it's loud. I live in a place to where it can down to -40C/-40F windchill, sometimes colder in the dead of winter. Both my 13' and my previously owned 11' they were only noisy upon start up. No more than 5 seconds(squeak from the belt) everything was humming like normal. I just think you're being silly. If you're really that concerned, take a video and post it. Do not add any additives.

    Do not use any additives.

    Let me repeat that.

    NO ADDITIVES.

Your brand new engine does not need them. Cold weather clatter is normal. You can reduce the noise by switching to a thinner oil.
