Getting ready for oil change in my 2020 V6. Have heard good things about Liqui Moly, but confused about all the variations like special tec AA, new generation, Top Tec 6600, 6200. Which one?

If it's confusing, it's too complex for such a simple application.

Just use any OTC 0-20 and the truck will be most happy.

Boutique fluids are not needed in a Tacoma. Especially the engine.

It's wild overkill for any Toyota shy of the supra.

Any 0w20 is synthetic, buy whatever is on sale.

Ive heard good things about Mobil 1 / Valvoline. Ive never really tried Liqui Moly personally, Ive tried Valvoline which made big diff on old engine and I am using Mobil 1 for my Taco currently. Just use OEM filter from Toyota Dealership, most of the Oil sold in auto parts is already certified and accepted so don't stress it too much, just right thickness.

Used liqui moly once on our macan. Only difference I noticed vs Mobil 1 was it was 2x the price. And agree it comes in too many flavors.

Any major brand that meets specifications is fine.

I personally like to stick with the same brand but it really doesn't matter, clean oil is more important than super special oil.
