I have a 6' bed, and honestly, it's a lot less of an impact than you'd think. You can still slide sheet goods underneath it no problem, hilift fits under there. In a 5' bed I'd think twice.

Yep, that's the issue with the short bed. Can't have it all, I guess!

Sorry to drudge up an old post but am I seeing that right? You can roll up the Revolver without taking off the bed rack? No problems hitting the rack brackets? Any chance you have a video showing how close it is?

Sorry for the delay. Haven't hit the site in a while.

That is correct. It rolls up with no issues. When it's all the way back it does brush up against the pillars a bit, but it does not cause any issues.

Sorry to dredge up an old post but, the diamondback cover with the front runner rack is the bees knees. My only question is can I put any accessory on my front runner rack such as a Yakima or Thule bike rack or snowboard or fishing rack. Also you can get different height stilts to lift the rack to different heights. I run mine with 4-6 inch risers so my gear mostly sits below the cab. Getting better gas mileage and lower center of gravity. Also I have the taller ones to allow me to load up my kayak and anything else that is longer than my bed.

For some reason it won’t let me upload the files in their actual format.

How hard is it to detach/reattach those rails? I've been looking at this setup, and the only part that worries me (aside from the cost) is that it seems like the rails would need to be detached to fold the rear hatch back over. I would occasionally need to do that in order to haul longer pieces of lumber.

Not hard at all. If you know that your going to haul lumber you can remove the penal in about 3 seconds. Leave it at home and your done. If you just remembered that you are buying wood or trees or something like that. You can detach the lid from the shock absorbers or boosters which ever you prefer. And flip the cover past the 45 degree mark to what ever you want I keep a carabiners in the truck that are tied to the D rings in the floor if the bed.I can detach the gas shocks and open the cover or open the cover and haul large items with it open. Just with the cover strapped to the truck. It’s not going anywhere. But if you do need to remove the rails for a reason. You need a 10 mm socket and a 6 mm Allen key. I’m a paraplegic and I can barely reach the legs. But it takes maybe 15 min with stowing the rails to have them off.
