    the runner has 285/75/16 Definity Dakota M/T's (pep boys tires). They do pretty good.

    Definitely lol. I made it up that first try on my old slick tires. The conditions were a lot better though, no ruts.

    yea, eventually but i have skids, sliders, lift, lockers ahead of regear lol. if i won the lottery id just throw a 4.7 out of a wrecked 4runner and SAS it. :rolleyes:

    regear is the only thing ive never done by myself though. shimming r&p sounds like a pita.

    thats correct. I almost got them in 265/75/16 but I didn't want the E load range.

    I dont plan on doing that myself, i have read so many how to's and it sounds very not up my alley right now lol

    nope, they're D. Close enough though:rolleyes:. I think they still weigh less than E load range BFG a/t's.

    And I have not re-geared and the power loss is really minimal.

    i may do east coast gear route. I want 4.88 front and rear with a lock right in rear and idk up front. i could do auto-locker in rear and lsd up front for same price of arb rear

    another thing I want to take into consideration is I cannot find anywhere how much the copper st's weigh?

    Then another things I cant decide between 4.56 or 4.88 because once you deflate these then your running low PSI and youll need some extra power to move them..

    go 4.88 with that 4 cyl IMO. Do you drive highway a lot?

    for 4.56 you need a third out of a v6. I was told the housing on the 3.73 and 4.1 is different. the 3.73 can take the 4.56 but the 4.88 you need the 4.10 housing.

    I dont mind driving slower to keep good mileage. so i want 4.88s. plus i do alot of mountain driving so i always have it in 3rd. if i can go fourth with the lower gear thatd be cool too.

    I currently have the 4.10 housing and do all highway driving

    well than its up to you if you want to sacrifice highway speed for low end grunt.

    iv been messing with gear calculator and with the 255 at 65 and 410's ill be at 2184. 255's and 4.56 at 65 ill be at 2429. I also heard that people actually experience better mileage AFTER they regear running these larger tires so I am kinda of torn...oh and 488 at 65 with 255's ill be at 2600 :eek: not really though haha

    thats in 4th gear (1:1) so in fifth it would be like 2300 in 5th. pretty good range for power. less down shifting but worse mileage. If i can do 4.56 with the 4.1 casing i plan on that... might as well when i install my locker.

    No actually those are overdrive at .81 to 1 :)

    I am going to go 4.56 with it :D just decided....well maybe lol I will se how it goes with the 255 and 4.10 then decide after that!

    let me know lol. the more i thing about it the more i want the 4.56 and then get a crawler for the real offroad umph.
