This thread makes me sad, when it reminds me that I go to work to be awakened at 0300 after just getting to sleep, to respond to someone with a tummy ache. A tummy ache that "happens after weekends usually" because "I've been drinking for 4 days straight"... Stupid idiot heads....

Then I remember, it's these stupid people that help me pay for my Tacoma, hookers and blow.

It's not racism. It's observation. When you've walked the walk get back to me. I have no issue with First nations people. Hence why I used that term instead of something more racist; like prairie nìgger.

Again, not racist, just pointing out a fact. I wish they didn't have the stigma that surrounds them, because honestly I find their history and past absolutely fucking fascinating.

So funny I forgot to laugh.

Easily 4-1 for the triple pounders with cheese.

The average weight of my patients was easily 250 lbs. That's with the little 85 lb grandmas bringing the average down. The heaviest I had was 750-800. That involved the local FD for lift assistance. Unfortunately the best stories can't be told due to bullshit privacy laws.

Yeah we called them 3 billers. Now add in the 100lb Stryker along with the rest of the crap on top and each man is now lifting at least 225lbs ten times a night.

People if anyone in EMS starts bitching about wanting to cut bacon of a fat persons back THIS IS WHY!

i've honestly never heard of anyone calling 911 to go shopping, at least not on a regular enough basis to be an issue. does it happen up there alot? for all I know it happens here all the time and we just dont here about it, but since an ambulance ride is like $600 or something stupid i doubt many people make that mistake.

You forgot to mention they're generally in some fucking basement or top floor of a no elevator building wedged between the toilet and the bathtub.

Oh...and fire is responded to some fucking alarms ringing on the other side of the county.

It probably does happen all the time. I tell people here about the shit that happens, and they're like "Really? They can do that? It shouldn't be allowed!"

No shit. And yet it does. Your tax dollars hard at work.

I leave my name. That being said, some shitheel left me neg without a name. Man the fuck up pussy. (Not directed at you wiscdave...unless it was you.) :drevil:

bone stock save for the block lift that came on it with the open country m/t.
where I work, we get calls all the time for "tooth pain" in a HEALTHY individual, it's a joke. These people could get a ride to the hospital/doctor, instead, they call an ambulance for an $800 ride to the hospital. Pure BS, but I was told at a staff meeting to keep my mouth shut, and not make comments like that to a patient, because one patient complained.

I write this sitting in my ambulance at the hospital, just after transporting the county's most frequent flyer...

All I can say is, it's nice to know that my fellow EMS workers have to deal with the same BS, and I'm not my county isn't the only one full of fat people!

OK, so since all you EMTs are having a bond-fest in here, have y'all ever seen Mother, Jugs, and Speed? Classic seventies movie with Raquel Welch and Bill Cosby and Harvey Keitel. It includes a dildo in Bill Cosby's ear. Who can pass that up?

Mother jugs and speed is good. Bringing out the Dead with Nick Cage is pretty good too.
