    Hey guys,

    (I have a 2008 DC SR5 TRD 4x4)

Is there factory lite 4x4 switch now available for these rigs?

If so, do you know the part number?

    Thanks for the help.

Its an easy mod to do, and they only have about 40 of them left.

Mine has worked great from day 1. I bought mine from rcbs when he first started making them and it was very easy to install. Just pop off the AC control panel and tap into the wiring.

I did the rcbs204 4x4 light mod and think its great. I did the stock amber color and it looks like it came from the factory that way.

I wish they made and/or was able to do this for a 2013 but I was told that the 2012/13 switches are not "Light able" like the 2011 and older ones where....

Same here. I tied it to the HVAC dimmer control so it looks like Toyota put it there.

I saw a post of someone recently investigating if the earlier switch(05-11) would fit on the newer trucks. If so, you could order the switch from an older truck and install it with the lighted switch kit. If I recall the 4x4 switch itself was in the 40-50 range, or maybe grab one from a salvage yard. This is all assuming that the switches are interchangeable.

Love the look of mine. Not sure why they didn't do it from the factory. The switch is built for it but guess they wanted to save a couple dollars.

Muskwa, PM me and I'll give you one I have that I never used. It has all white lights though. rcbs204 was nice enough to send me a free one to see if it worked on my 13' but it didn't. it's been in my glove box waiting for a good home!

(Thanks teneighty I sent you a PM)

I installed rcbs204's amber light and it looks like factory.

However, when installing the circuit board, I saw a "plastic plug" that covers a hole in the back of the 4x4 switch.

This hole looks like it would accept the same size bulb that's in the hvac control panel.

I wonder if it would work if you'd install that bulb?
