Took some pics for ya. I had to trim the plastic corner piece that covers the electronics by the passengers right foot

That's not bad at all. I was expecting more of a hump. I was thinking about doing this for the 35s anyway. Gonna be a long ways before I throw 37s on though lol.

It’s a decent hump, just concealed well by the carpet haha. I probably had to cut like 4+” off of the back of that corner piece

The camper is officially in good enough shape to drop onto the truck. Only things left are corner caps and gussets on the side and back doors. I am waiting to do gussets until it’s on the truck so that I can make sure the rear door will seal to the tailgate cap. Gonna be a PITA to make the gussets after mounting the doors, but my frame ended up slightly different compared to the CAD file so the doors all needed some trimming/adjusting, so I didn’t want to gusset them and then have to drill out 100 rivets. Time to pull the headliner and trim my shark fin :sawzall:

In case anyone wondered if there was extra room in the shark fin... this will cover up all of the electronics

Well the camper is on the truck! Sits nice and tight to the roof, exactly how I wanted.

Dude, that’s awesome! You did this all on your own, from design to build?

Design was done by @Ripcord he has a whole build sheet and step by step write up. I’m just lucky that he thought of me when designing his V2 camper and we ordered materials together to save on freight. Then I built it and only texted him with about 8675309 questions. The canvas was also sewn up by a friend. Other than that I basically just assembled it myself

Yessir. The boys over at Sherpa are gonna cut me one. They make a shorty for in front of go fast and vagabond campers, and already have the dims to make one for my camper. And thank you!

I was hoping to get it quick before my trip out your way, but they are moving to a new shop this week and will be setting up all their new equipment. So it’ll probably get done some time after I’m back.

@Ripcord correct me if I’m wrong but it did give you a little mpg boost when you put yours on right?

    Camper is looking great!

Yeah the rack gave a slight increase. Overall it will still probably be less than when you had the full sherpa rack with the RTT on the bedrack.

Thanks! My ambitious goal for tomorrow is mount the canvas and all of the door gussets. If I manage that then the camper is done! (Minus the brake light i misplaced)

yeah I expect it to be a little worse. However, the dry, locked storage, and quick easy set up/tear down is going to be worth every extra penny I spend on gas. Not to mention that this CAMPER only weighs like 75lbs more than my old RTT and rack. Literally insanely light

I absolutely cannot wait to go camping in 2 weeks. Also, I wish I was about 6” taller so I could actually close this Goliath

it’s always appropriate to tell me it’s too big... not that I’ve ever been told that before
