Ordered the ARE CX HD back in December and just got it on today. Manufactured on 3/22, 4 months after the order. Installer called me on 4/13 and said the cap came in but it was chipped up and they sent it back to get repainted. Still had a chip on it when they put it on today. It's small and out of the way. Little touch up will take care of it and other chips I have elsewhere. No biggie. Started to look around for other issues and found general shoddy work as pictured.

If anyone is looking for the Trifold Lomax in Northern Virginia, my old one is available now.

You should’ve inspected it better before they installed it and rejected it now you have to deal with warranty work again

None of that is worth having them ship it back and waiting more.

I had similar issues with my Snugtop back in November. The dealer I got it from said it would be a 4-6 month wait to have it sent back to the factory for repair/repaint. I suggested to them, since it’s going to cost Snugtop a lot of money to ship it back and forth to do the repairs + the cost of labor and materials to repaint (not to mention I already waited a long time for it to come in)… How about a partial refund instead, and I live with it or repaint it myself? They called their rep at Snugtop and everyone agreed this would be the easiest solution for all involved. So I ended up getting a 15% discount. I know it’s not the same company, but it’s about the same situation, so maybe it’s worth you asking about?

Damn, that’s really frustrating. I ordered an ARE CX back in February. It’s supposed to be here late next month. Hopefully I don’t have the same issues.

I’ve called their customer service a couple times with questions about the cap and the woman who answers the phone (it appears to only be one person answering their phone) is always pretty rude so that has already left a bad taste in my mouth.

Your cap looks really good overall though, I love the truck!

Wound up having a leaking passenger side window as well. Just brought it by the dealer and they looked at it, confirmed it was leaking, and were on the phone ordering a new window within seconds of the tech finishing. They will leak around the corners. Fact of life with Tacos. But they shouldn't be leaking at the windows.

The ARE saga continues. They shipped a replacement window for the leaking one. But they didn't install the window gasket on the replacement:mad:. The shop has a slightly larger gasket that they put on that didnt work. ARE is shipping a roll of gasket.

Hopefully final update. ARE sent a roll of the gasket they forgot to install. Shop put it on and it looks like it finally stopped leaking.
