The last two bullets about the battery is concerning. If I leave a light on and the battery goes dead am I going to have issues?

My understanding is that this SC has a bypass or waste gate that can be manually opened to bypass boost in these situations. Is that correct? I'm learning here, and haven't been able to find anything specific about this yet. If this essentially keep non-boosted stock airflow volume, it seems it would work for these situations. IN other words, enable the truck to run within stock parameters during a service.

Yes. It's a little boost/vacuum actuated diaphragm that opens/shuts a valve. You can just zip tie it open.

Doesn't sound correct, the bd programmer is going to rewrite the ecu. In loosing power that code is still written to the ecu, doesn't automatically get restored to default..

Someone correct me if I am wrong

Big thanks from the FJCruiserForums to @big_jarv and @TIM.TRDSparks for allowing and including yourToyota FJ Cruiser brethren in this group buy. I think we ended up with 4-5 FJ guys on the group buy and we could have never achieved any discount threshold on our own.

It's great to see how an idea by big_jarv to maybe get a discount from Magnuson for his supercharger morphed into him having to buy a pallet worth of them from Magnuson and collect money from everyone via PayPal (which I gave him some shit about) then turned into a group buy through Sparks Toyota. Big_jarv my hat is off to you for thinking creatively and turning this into a very successful group buy. Without out your continued pushing it would have never happened.

Tim, thanks jumping on this opportunity and for dealing with the vast number of questions/inquiries and making it happen on your end. Hopefully this is a win-win for all involved including TW, FJCruiserForums, Sparks Toyota, and Magnuson.

    I agree, but bullydog instruction
EVERY TIME you take your vehicle in for any type of service. It is a very common practice for the engine computer to be “flashed” (reprogrammed)
during all types of service, even routine maintenance. If the tune from the GT is still installed when the engine computer is
flashed, it can cause problems when you want to use your GT in the future. See page 38 for more information.

That is on the normal 40417 Bully Dog system. The one that comes in the kit will have different instructions and is a different part number.

Good deal! I couldn't get those without cutting open a BD system kit.

With this GB blowin up and pushin 50, Sparks should give you your SC at no charge for settin this up. I mean seriously, 50 Superchargers! That would make gettin a pulley a little easier! ;)
